Apple Music for Artists gives you direct access to your artist page, audience data, lyrics, promotional tools, and Shazam activity.
Once approved, you can update your artist image and profile details, review the performance of your music, invite trusted team members, and create promotional assets for your releases.
Your Music Must Be Live First
You cannot manually create an artist page on Apple Music. Your page is created after your label or distributor delivers a release to Apple Music.
Apple requires your content to have been live on Apple Music for at least five business days before you can claim the artist page.
If your music has not appeared after delivery, contact your label or distributor before submitting a claim. Learn how music is delivered to Apple Music.
What You’ll Need
Before starting, have the following ready:
- An Apple Account
- Your Apple Music or iTunes Store artist-page link
- A release where you are listed as a primary artist
- Your official website or artist social media profiles
- Information confirming your connection to the artist
- Access to any connected distributor account Apple may use for verification
Use an Apple Account that you expect to keep long-term. Your Apple Music for Artists access and team permissions will be connected to that account.
How to Claim Your Artist Page
-
Open Apple Music for Artists
Visit Apple Music for Artists and sign in with your Apple Account.
You can submit your request through the Apple Music for Artists website or the iPhone app.
-
Request Artist Access
Select Request Artist Access. Apple will ask you to find the artist page you want to claim.
Search using your artist name, or paste your Apple Music or iTunes Store artist-page link.
To copy your link, open your artist page or release, select the More button, choose Share, and then choose Copy Link.
-
Confirm the Correct Artist Page
Carefully review the artist page and releases before continuing. Artists with the same or similar names may appear in search results.
Apple will ask you to select one of your albums to confirm the page. You must be listed as a primary artist on the release.
A featured-artist credit by itself does not qualify you to claim the page.
-
Verify Your Connection
Choose the role that best describes your connection to the artist and complete the requested application fields.
Provide as much relevant information as possible, including your official website, social media accounts, management details, and distributor connection.
Connecting active social media or distributor accounts can help Apple verify your relationship to the artist more quickly.
-
Submit and Monitor Your Request
Review your information and submit the application.
While the request is being reviewed, its status will appear as Pending in Apple Music for Artists. Apple will send application updates to the email address connected to your Apple Account.
Review Apple’s complete artist-page claim instructions.
Claiming a Page After Your First Release
Apple does not currently allow an artist page to be claimed before music is live. After your first release becomes available, wait at least five business days before submitting your request.
Your label or distributor can provide your Apple Music artist or release link after delivery is complete.
What If the Page Is Already Claimed?
The first approved artist or artist manager is assigned the Admin role. That Admin can review access requests and invite additional team members.
If your page is already managed, ask the current Admin to invite you using the email address connected to your Apple Account.
Apple Music for Artists provides three primary access levels:
- Admin: Full access to analytics, promotion, profile updates, and user management
- Analyst: Access to analytics and promotional tools
- Profile Editor: Access to artist images, lyrics, and artist-profile details
Each person should use their own Apple Account. Do not share one login across an entire team.

What If Your Request Is Still Pending?
Apple displays a pending status while your application is under review and sends updates by email.
Check the inbox and spam folder associated with your Apple Account. If more than 10 business days pass without an update, contact Apple Music for Artists Support.

Avoid text, borders, marketing copy, third-party logos, QR codes, album artwork, and low-resolution images.

- Delivering new music or music videos
- Changing release dates
- Correcting artist names, titles, genres, or other metadata

What If Your Music Is on the Wrong Artist Page?
Artists with identical or similar names may occasionally be grouped onto the same page.
If your release appears on the wrong artist page, use Apple Music for Artists Support and select Artist Catalog Issues. Be prepared to provide your artist name, links to the affected releases, and the correct artist-page link.
For ordinary metadata changes, contact your distributor instead.
